RIBBONS, BENEFIT CALENDAR AND WET FEET FOR CANCER CHARITY

The Pink March (Marcha Rosa) organized by the association, Calasparra Se Mueve, moved through central town to mark the International Day Against Breast Cancer on Saturday.
Everyone wore special pink t-shirts, including the Rice Grower in the middle of his fountain, thanks to local councilor, Antonio Merino, who paddled through cold water to do the deed!
In the Plaza de la Corredera the Charity Calendar to raise funds for Cancer Research was on sale and various local shops joined in the spirit of the day: a local baker selling Benefit Buns complete with pink ribbon and a local chemist selling a range of products for charity.
Young members of the dance group Aliesan entertained crowds in the Corredera.
All proceeds from the day go to Cancer Research.
