Every year
the statue of Our Lady of Hope is carried from the Sanctuary to Calasparra town
for a month of religious events.
Here is this year´s programme:
TUESDAY APRIL 30
12 midday Bell ringing and fireworks to mark the imminent arrival of the statue
of Our Lady of Hope.
WEDNESDAY MAY 1
12 midday Bell ringing and fireworks
3.30pm, 4pm and 4.30pm Buses leave from Bar Pepon for the Sanctuary
5pm Pilgrimage with the statue sets off from the Sanctuary for Calapsarra
7pm Rondalla OAPs Music Group perform at the gates of the Caverina
8pm Meeting of the statues of the Patron Saints of Calasparra with the statue
of Our Lady of Hope at the gates of the Caverina. Music from the Rociero Choir.
Procession to St Peter´s Church.

6.45am Mass followed by pilgrimage back to the Sanctuary via Olivarejo (lower
Sanctuary road).
At the Secano Fountain the statues of the Patron Saints will be brought to meet
the statue of Our Lady of Hope
1pm Mass at the Sanctuary
