SUNDAY IS POLLING DAY IN GENERAL ELECTIONS

Tomorrow, Sunday April 28, is the day millions of Spanish nationals will go to the polls to vote in the General Election.
Pedro Sanchez , President of the current PSOE Government, called the elections after congress voted against his budget proposals.
During what has been a long, and often bitter, election campaign, polls have continued to give the lead to the PSOE.
Sanchez has been electioneering hard in order to achieve a majority government where he would not be dependent on the vote of other parties, such as Podemos, the Catalan Independents or the Basques.
The main opposition party, the PP, who lost a vote of censorship in Congress after corruption cases in the courts returned guilty verdicts, which led to the PSOE governing, has been gradually losing ground. However, they have been negotitating with two other right wing parties in order to form a coalition. One of these parties is an extreme right wing party, Voz.
Turnout is expected to be high as opposition parties call the PSOE government a «national disaster» and the left wing parties warn of history repeating itself in the form of «fascism.»
The polls in Calasparra will be open from 9am to 8pm tomorrow.
UK residents cannot vote in General Elections but may vote in the local, regional and Euroepan elctions on May 26.
