Sunflower oil tops the list of price hikes in the region over the past 12 months now costing a massive 17% more than a year ago.
Sugar is second on the list of the highest rises in price at 12% and bananas from the Canaries come in as the leader of cost increases for fresh produce at 10%.
However, lemons cost 20% less than last year and oranges 11% less according to these figures released by the Ministry of Industry.
If you buy your salad tomatoes and onions from the supermarket you will have paid 14% and 9.5% less than last year.
