Promoters in the region of Murcia have welcomed a move by central government to cut the IVA on the purchase of new properties from 8 to 4% in an effort to give the stagnant housing market a boost.
The cut, introduced last Friday, only applies to new properties and is aimed at reducing the large quantity of new housing stock available in the region.
