Prizes of 300 and 600 euros are being offered for the winning cartoon and/or poster advertising this year’s “encierros” (bull running) during the traditional rice fiestas in September.
The closing date for entries is 1pm on July 14. The jury will reach their decision on July 15 and there will be an exhibition of participating posters and cartoons from July 16 to 22 in the Town Hall.
The cartoon and the poster must feature the words: “Calasparra Encierros 2011. 3,4,5,6,7 y 8 de septiembre.”
The prize winning artist for the best cartoon will receive 300 euros and for the winning poster the prize is 600 euros.
