All three local political parties are making massive efforts to secure the vote of English speaking residents in this month’s Municipal Elections and they are using the NEXOnr webpage to do it!
The Socialist PSOE, the current governing group, the Partido Popular and the United Left and Greens have all taken advertisements on the webpage in an effort to reach out to English speaking voters. Just click on the small advertisement for the political party to open their showcase advertisement featuring the lists of candidates, photographs and elections pledges.
The PSOE has asked NEXOnr to translate its entire election manifesto; the United Left and Greens have sent English speaking voters a special message and extracts from their manifesto and the Partido Popular is holding a meeting for English speaking voters on Tuesday (see news item).
At the last municipal elections the solid Socialist vote slipped a little and their majority was cut. The United Left and Greens Coalition failed to secure representation by just one vote! So if you want to have a say in the new political landscape of your town this is your chance to inform yourselves and get out there and vote!
See you on Polling Day – Sunday May 22
