HOT SPRING TEMPERATURES ARE A SIGN OF THINGS TO COME

Experts claim the high temperatures and lack of rainfall in the Murcia region are the result of climatic changes and predict that by 2090 the average temperatures will rise by 2.5 degrees centigrade and there will be 20% less rainfall.
In the worst case scenario average temperatures could rise by a massive 4% and rainfall may fall by as much as 40%, according to Murcian weather experts.
Spring in Calasparra this year has been more like summer with average temperatures hovering around the mid twenties during this week and last Saturday saw the highest spring temperatures for 70 years when thermometers in Calasparra topped 38 degrees centigrade.
Although rain is predicted for Easter week tomorrow, Thursday, temperatures are likely to be around 28 degrees.
