Local organisations have raised 600 euros in aid of sustainable development in indigenous populations of Paraguay by organising a Gala Concert.
The Gala Concert on March 11 featured the OAPs music group, the Rondalla de Calasparra, the singer songwriter, Yonomella, and the Rociero Amanecer Choir..
Today, Thursday, a group of Paraguayan women visited Calasparra to explain their role as the “motor” of political, social, educational, economic and cultural life in their home towns.
The delegation was received by the Head of the Department of Equality, Mari Carmen López Alba, Head of the Department of Culture, Teresa García, and Head of local Social Politics, Antonio José Merino.
The money raised will pay for bilingual books, in Spanish and various dialects of Paraguay.
