The Social Work section of the Caixa Bank in Calasparra has donated a cheque for 6,000 euros destined to help families without sufficient resources to cover their basic needs.
In a symbolic act the Mayor of Calasparra, Jose Velez, officially received the cheque from the Manager of the local branch, José Tomás Legaz Torres, and the Manager of Business North Murcia, María José Martínez Villa. He was accompanied by the Head of the local Social Policy Department, Antonio José Merino Moreno.
The Mayor said: “We feel very grateful to the Caixa, which, in recent years, has collaborated with the Town Hall to fund projects aimed at helping those most in need.”
