Poetry readings, a new book by a Calasparrian author, a Don Quijote Reading Marathon and special events in the Plaza de la Corredera: there is something for everyone during Reading and Book Week.
The Day of the Book actually coincides with Easter Week this year and so the events have been brought forward.
“Calasparra Poética” is the first date on the programme when local and regioal poets will meet and read their work at the Casa de la Cultura tomorrow, April 5 at 8.30pm.
On Thursday the Calasparra Reading Club invites anyone to read their work or the work of their favourite author at 8.30pm in the Casa de la Cultura.
The presentation of the novel “Only Lost Wars” by Pascual García, will take place on Friday April 8 at 8.30pm in the Municipal Auditorium.
The final events on Sunday April 10 will be the “Library in the Street” with commemorative activities in the Plaza de la Corredera from 11am and an interrupted reading marathon of Don Quijote in the Salon de Actos (main chamber) in the Town Hall.
