After the devastating fire, which destroyed 15,000 square metres of the Sierra de San Miguel last July, some 250 orienteers filled the area with life and enthusiasm for the 18th edition of the regional league, Orienteering Trials this weekend.
The trials, organised by the Calasparra Orienteering Club and the Town Hall, was a splendid debut for the new orienteering map of the area, produced by the local club.
The spectacular views and natural spaces were a perfect backdrop for these demanding trials and Calasparra featured on the winner´s pódium more than once.
