The Guardia Civil have raided and closed down a greenhouse full of marihuana plants, illegally connected to the electricity network, on the industrial estate in Calasparra.
They seized 100 plants, four kilos of marihuana buds and tools and equipment used for cultivation.
Four Spanish men, aged between 41 and 47 years, were arrested, including two residents of Espinardo who were employed to grow, maintain, harvest and dry the drug.
The Guardia Civil had mounted a surveillance operation because they suspected there as an illegal warehouse for marihuana on the industrial estate.
The detainees also connected the greenhouse illegally to the electricity network and were fraudulently using the current.
As a result of the police operation, Castiverde, the four men will appear before magistrates in Caravaca on charges of stealing electricity and growing and trafficking in drugs.
