The parochial organization, Caritas, has announced that it has insufficient resources to cope with the enormous increased demand on its services due to the effects of the financial crisis.
The organization has issued an “urgent appeal to the population” for donations of clothing, shoes or boots and home wear.
Caritas supports families in Calasparra with insufficient resources to meet their daily needs by distributing donated clothing etc and non perishable foodstuffs.
The Caritas Office in Calle Pasico is open Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings to take donations.
