A scare for Calasparrians as long grass in a field in the Celadilla area of Calasparra, near the Molinico Musuem, caught fire.
The fire, close to the population of the town, in front of the Petrol Station and behind the Molinico, soon took hold, wafted by strong winds.
It took several trips with a water carrying helicopter to extinguish the blaze, which appeared to have several seats.
However, within an hour the blaze was under control. However, firemen stayed at the scene dampening down the area of the fire.
