NOCTURNAL WALK AROUND SIERRA DEL PUERTO

Blade Runners is sending an open invitation to walking enthusiasts to take part in the 41k nocturnal walk around the Sierra del Puerto.
The walk is almost entirely on footpaths in good conditions, with  just 360 metres of tarmac. The first 14 kilometres are hilly but are not difficult. Kilometres 14 to 17 are on stoney steep paths, which pass the far point of the Sierra. The highest point of the walk is between kilometer 20 and 29 reaching 600m.
The walk starts and ends at Calasparra station.
Walkers will be accompanied by ambulances and civil protection officers and various members of Blade Runners will act as guides.
Although water and snacks will be provided it is recommended that each walker carries sufficient water and food for the night, a torch, batteries, mobile phone and any other accessories necessary for a long walk. There will be a rest period at 20k point for food and drink.
