Preventing accidents is the objective of the local police who are holding Road Safety Classes for infant and primary school pupils.
“We mustn´t forget that minors are pedestrians and we must teach them the safest way to move around the streets. However, many are also riding bicycles, skateboards or skates, and it is fundamental they know the basic rules of road safety,” says Police Chief, Miguel Ángel, who adds, “It is also important to provide a basis for them being responsible drivers in the future.”
The Chief also sent a message to parents to keep bicycles well maintained and reminds them that a helmet is obligatory.
