The AFICA Association of Calasparra is organising a tree planting day on March 10 aimed at reforesting an area of the Sierra de San Miguel.
Under the slogan “Plant Your Tree” the Association will be planting 75 indigenous pines and shrubs.
President of the organisation, Emilio Aparisi, explains: “ We are hoping to count on many volunteers who will care for the tree they plant in the future.”
Volunteers are meeting at 9am outside the Municipal Sports Centre.
The local Department of the Environment, the Veterans of Calasparra, Blade Runners, the Basket Ball Club and the Barcelona FC Fan Club are all taking part.
