The neighbourhood associations of Valentín, Canara and the Campillo de los Jiménez held another protest today, Friday, at the Casa de la Cultura of Cehegín against the planned rubbish dump on the skirts of the Sierra Del Puerto.
As they wait for an official reply to their representations against the project, concern and worry grows amongst the protesters.
“We are going to continue to take action which shows our rejection of the plant in this area as we wait for the answer of the regional government as to whether they will allow this plant or not,” Juan Felipe Pérez Andreu,of the Neighbourhood Group of Valentín told Radio Calasparra.
