Calasparra has been selected as one of the site for various different activities to mark the Jornadas Educativas (Education Days) ‘Una educación para el siglo XXI (An Education for the XXI Century) organised by the Murcia region.
The Head of the local Department of Culture, Teresa García, with representatives of STERM (Association of Retired Professionals), José Clemente Rubio y Teresa Salinas, has presented the programme which will be aimed at the education community but is also of interest to the general public.
The programme for Calasparra is:
Thursday January 19 Lecture by Professor Antonio Viñao. “¿Es hoy posible un Pacto por la Educación?” (Is a Pact for Education Possible?).
8pm Casa de la Cultura.
Thursday January 26 Recounting Events by narrator, Jose Luis Gutiérrez “Guti”.
12 Midday Municipal Auditorium.
Wednesday February 22 Lecture by Professor Salvador Martínez Pérez. “¿Por qué recuerdo lo que NO QUIERO y me olvido de lo que SÍ QUIERO recordar?¿Y si me olvido de TODO ?” (Why remember what I don´t want to. Why do I forget what I want to remember? What if I forget everything?)
