The billiard player, Mario Mercader, has been competting at international level in Eqypt as part of the national team but has been beaten by the reigning world champion.
Competing in the Under 25´s and wearing the Calasparra shield on his tracksuit, Mario has shown great promise during the championships.
His father, Jero Mercador, commented: “We are very proud of his achievements, although we have been through some bad times in Cairo due to recent bombings which were near to where Mario was based.”
