There will be a new phase of restoration for Calasparra Castle and a new cycle path will be opened in the Textiles area of Calasparra (alongside the industrial estate) to connect sports facilities with the local schools.
Also on this year´s agenda plans to improve the area around Las Lomas and the Plaza Emilio Pérez Piñero in the centre of town.
The Cabezo Negro, near the Polvera Restaurant, was declared “a Site of Geological Interest” in January this year. Work to restore the area and create tourist access has been completed.
A new infant school for children between the ages of 0 to 3 years will open in Calasparra, changing facilities will be upgraded at the Municipal Sports Centre and Valentin will have a social facility in the former San Juan Church.
